Giving & Serving
There are many opportunites to give to the Lord through St. Timothy's. Our weekly offering is one way to give back to the Lord a portion of the wealth with which he has blessed us. You may also be able to help support our church in other ways. Many of these are very easy but make a huge impact in the support of our church and ministries.
One of the opportunites to honor loved ones both living and deceased is to sponsor the sanctuary candle, which hangs above the altar table. You may sponsor the candle for a donation of $5. You may also sponsor the weekly bulletin used during worship service for $15, or our monthly Timothian for $40. If interested, see the sign-up sheets in the Narthex.
Giving of time
Anyone interested in giving their time to the service of the Lord may contact the church office for more information. Some of the many ways to give your time include gardening and general maintanence work, service as an usher, participation in any of our ministries, such as choir and WELCA, and helping with fundraisers.
St. Timothy's Child Care Center accepts volunteers to help with the children in the child care center. Playing, helping, and teaching during the many activities is a wonderful way to show the children the love of our Lord at work in our lives. The infant room always needs "grandmothers" to hold and rock the babies. Please contact the STLCCC director, Lydia Shiposki, for more information.
Giving of tangibles
We are always accepting book and media donations for our new Lending Library, located in the Narthex. Contact the church office if you have items you would like to donate to the Lending Library.
The LYO collects cans and bottles year round in the barrel in the church entry. The LYO also accepts unwanted items for sale in the annual rummage sale and on Ebay.
STLCCC benefits from donations of recyclable paper placed in the recepticle in the parking lot. Through the Abiti Paper Recycling Program, we decrease the waste paper our community sends to landfills, and receive funds the Childcare Center uses for operating costs.
STLCCC can always use your unwanted plastic shopping bags as well as craft supplies. Please drop all donated items off in the child care center office.
Thank you for your wonderful support! All donations enrich the church and the lives of its members and child care center students.
